David Daughtrey, CFA, CFP

David Daughtrey has over 24 years combined experience in the investment, financial services and real estate industries. David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in finance. He received his MBA from Brigham Young University, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class. David also earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation held by most portfolio managers, as well he is a Certified Financial Planner ("CFP").  David spent nine years on Wall Street as an investment banker for JP Morgan Chase and Merrill Lynch structuring complex asset-backed securities. During his career on Wall Street, David raised more than $20 billion for major corporations in America and internationally. His experience with Wall Street traders, analysts, hedge funds managers and portfolio managers gives him a unique perspective on the markets.

Using his strong analytical skills and diverse background, David develops unique strategies to solve the tough estate and financial planning problems. He relishes the challenge of pulling complex planning situations together to construct strategic financial plans that maximize return while maintaining risk-appropriate and tax-efficient objectives.

Bruce Meyer, Managing Director

Bruce Meyer’s unique background enables him to holistically meet his clients’ financial needs. He has 20 years combined experience in asset management, the practice of law, and being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Bruce views his career as an evolution, and believes his past experiences as a CPA and attorney allow him to better manage assets, and guide his clients in making all of their financial decisions. Bruce does not believe in a one size fits all approach, and recognizes each person’s unique needs. He analyzes the legal and tax implications of transactions, and is always looking for a better way to build a mouse trap.

Bruce earned a B.A. from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois; a J.D. from I.I.T – Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an LL.M. , a Masters of Law in Taxation, from the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Florida. He began his career in the tax department at Ernst & Young, formerly Ernst & Whinney, a big eight accounting firm. While there, he successfully passed the CPA exam and was a Senior Tax Consultant. Bruce left the CPA world, and worked as an attorney for seven years, specializing in retirement and estate planning. In 1997, after two years of discussion, Bruce and his family moved to the Valley of the Sun to join Jerry Burg in his successful financial planning practice. Jerry was Pam Meyer’s uncle. Unfortunately, Jerry became disabled and Bruce took over the financial planning practice in October 1998. Since then Bruce has successfully managed the practice with his team of assistants which include Carol DesVergnes and Debra Hansen.

Bruce has insurance and securities licenses in various states and has FINRA Series 7 and 65 securities licenses. He is also an Investment Advisor Representative through Cambridge Investment Research.

Bruce and Pam have been married since 1986 and have three children. Bruce and his family are active in the community. He has served on committees for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix Boys Choir and his temple. He enjoys travel, golf, skiing, scuba diving and relaxing with family and friends.

Lynda Elley, CLTC

Lynda Elley began her financial planning practice with a desire to focus on women and their families and the particular issues facing the “Sandwich Generation”.  She holds life insurance, Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is an Investment Advisor Representative through Cambridge Investment Research.

Lynda, a graduate from Colorado State University with a BS in Business Management and a minor in French, began her career in the high tech industry more than 20 years ago in executive sales, business development and management. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Informative Graphics Corp., a Phoenix software developer, she developed compensation plans, expanded the sales and customer service teams, launched new products and lead in the acquisition and integration of another company. These skills serve her well in understanding the complexities of business operations and strategic planning and transcend the business community to enable her to assist families in managing the complex aspects of their financial well being.

With the “new product introduction” of her daughter Claire in 2000, Lynda refocused her attention to the financial issues facing families with both children, and parents approaching retirement – the Sandwich Generation. She brings a combination of compassion and analytical skills to the planning process for her clients who find themselves balancing the financial needs of multiple generations as well as their own retirement.

Lynda volunteers her time with the Phoenix Assistance League and is a member of Women of Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys photography, traveling, reading and spending time with her family
